Hello everyone.
I have basically no head coming underneath the dashboard in my 1999 S70. Has anyone experienced this kind of problem on there S70. Any one know what could be causing this issue.
No Heat under the dash. Very cold here in Chicago area.

Do you have the Electronic Climate Control (ECC) or Manual Climate Control (MCC)??
If you have AUT on your left most knob, its ECC
The troubleshooting path is different for the two systems

Make sure your coolant level is topped up, first.
It sounds like you are having trouble with the damper door motor under the dash. When you first start the car, do the two LEDs on the climate control unit ( also sometimes called the ECC here, unfortunately) flash ? You need to watch them for about one minute on starting.

Regarding the center vents - Be sure that the roller wheelAhmedS70 wrote:I have the AUT on my left most side so I have the ECC. And also the two vents in the middle of the dash are blowing cold air. on the left side is all the way down. That's an outdoor fresh
air vent control. You should feel about 5 detent postions in
that wheel if it's working properly.

How about if you twist the left knob to the down arrow?
Do you hear things trying to move in the dash or is quiet?
