S40 Electrical Issue

I have a 2004.5 S40. Having an issue where I roll down the drivers side power window, and when I roll it back up, it stops part-way up, and then all dash gauges go dead (tach, gas/temp/fuel gauges). In addition, when I turn off the ignition, the engine shuts off, but the blower fan keeps blowing and radio will stay on. The only way to resolve the issue is to disconnect the battery, wait for 1-2 minutes, then re-connect. Then I can re-start the car and roll the window all the way up. I have replaced the drivers side window switch but still have the same issue. Any suggestions as to what else could be the culprit?

Okay- you are in the wrong forum. I tried to fix this last year migrating all the wrong posts to the forum that is correct for 2004.5+ I am moving your post to the correct forum. Hopefully there, you'll get some attention.

Maybe something in the engine bay when things heat up cause a short? Check your wiring from your battery carefully.
