How 2 remove the back recliner cable on a power seat?

Post by mezz0 »

Hi guys,
I'm wondering how to remove the back recliner cable out of the power seat. It is lefthand drive on the driver seat. The motor with the bracket (see photo 1) is no problem. But how to remove the cable on the other (right) side (see photo 2)?

My recliner cable is making noises and vibrations. Before it was not working and I repaired it with the help of Roberts DIY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGITgKXCBbg. Now it works but the vibrations by the cable when moving the recliner is stupid. Now the seat ist off and it would be an easy job to change the recliner cable. Its partnumber: 3539655

Thanks for your support

If it doesn't pull out, you probably have to remove the transmission.
