Hello again,
I'm looking to replace my fuel/evap system piece by piece (96 850 Platinum wagon, 197k) and I'm currently trying to find this part:
IMG_2031.JPG
I want to say it's a check valve of some sort, between the manifold and the vapor canister purge valve. Can't seem to make out the numbers on my photo, and my eyesight is too poor to see it in person lol. I can't find it on any parts diagram; I see it pictured, but I don't see any number or description. Perhaps I can get a generic one somewhere?

Between intake manifold and purge valve shouldn't be anything but a hose.
I would say that it's something that shouldn't be there...at least on n/a cars.

I can't speak for a NA car, but on my 98 GLT I had to replace one of these valves as well. They are easily tested by trying to blow through it from both directions. If the valve is good, it should only pass air in one direction.

For the replacement, Volvo showed only an "assembly" that contained all the hoses for this system and the two check valves all together for something like $90. Um ... nope!

I ordered 1275226 - Volvo EVAP Check Valve, which was a direct replacement.

Again, I can't guarantee this is the part you need on a NA car.

Have one on my 01 C70. yes air passed only one direction. I did not have one on hand and did PCV system replacement without replacing it. Would have preferred to replace it

Thanks, guys. I forgot to mention that the platinum wagon IS a turbo, so that should clear up some confusion. I'll certainly check out the evap check valve part.
