Old vs new VVT
Old vs new VVT
I made a video for comparison purposes of the in and out play of an old (220k milea) VVT vs a new one.

Thanks! Was your VVT leaking oil? Did you change any cam seals? or they were fine?

Yeah it was leaking when I got it above 3,000 RPMs, which is why I suspected the VVT and not the cam seal. But I did replace the exhaust cam seal when I was in there, even though it looked fine. Oddly enough, the belt with 100k miles on it looked brand new.
