Agree- that's probably why I epoxied mine. I would consider once you have it spliced to let it dry in some epoxy or something else- not just tape. In fact, I would be tempted to solder, shrink wrap and possibly do more than that too. Then you would have to cut and splice again when the time comes but at least this way, you'll know it's solid.

Anyway- let us know how things go.

Follow the wire back. Cam sensor is the round part on the back of the exhaust cam, crank sensor is above the flywheel between the engine and transmission.
I would not splice the wires at all. It's best not to mess with engine sensors like that. You should replace the sensor side. If the main harness side is damaged, cut the connector along with a small length of wire from a car at the junk yard and solder/splice it into the car's harness.
If you need it, I have an OEM used crank sensor for sale right now.

I found it on Partsgeek. It's the CRANK SENSOR- Part#102460-01 W/ White connector. This is it. :

Found a video by Robert DIY, so I actually can do this:

I want to thank you guys again for all of your input and suggestions. I'm glad I didn't attempt to splice any connectors in, as that could've gone wrong in far too many ways. It will actually be much easier to replace the Crank Sensor. I thought it could be the Cam Sensor and that was a bit intimidating to me, but I can replace this Crank Sensor, as Robert's Video shows how easy it is to do. THANKS AGAIN, GUYS!! 8)

Great news! Thanks for posting back up! Yes, that's a relatively easy one. Still, make sure the wires are apart- especially the cam sensor and crank sensor wires (even though they are shielded), if they are touching can cause problems.

Definitely make sure the wire is away from the cam sensor wire and the spark plug wires. Any interference could cause the engine to misfire. I've gone through 3 of these sensors... original was frayed (causing interference), second was on its way out by the time I got it, and now I have a good one. If needed, zip tie the wire out of the way of the other wires.

Last update- It's definitely the Cam Sensor. I ordered both the Cam Sensor and the Crank Sensor, just to be safe. The Crank Sensor arrived today. The Cam sensor arrives on Tuesday. Pulled the air cleaner assembly out and I can confirm that the connector on the Cam Sensor totally disintegrated, which is why I plugged it in, taped and zip tied it up, and just dealt with it that way until it started coming loose. Since there is no connector to keep the pins plugged in, I plugged them back in, taped it back up and zip tied it temporarily, until the Cam Sensor arrives on Tuesday. After replacing the Cam Sensor, I'll replace the Crank Sensor, since I have that too, and won't have to worry about either one, for a while. Thanks again for all your input, guys. I've become more of a driveway mechanic with this car than I ever wanted to be, but it's totally worth it. Eventually, I'll be coming to you guys for advice on Stereo Systems, as that's the one thing I want to do that I haven't gotten round to. Been dealing with keeping the car running, as a priority. Thanks again!! :-)
