Bluetooth

I have a 2009 XC90 that came with factory Bluetooth phone (Motorola). It quit so I bought a new on from Matthews. Same unit, same connector. Now I'm told I have to bring it to Volvo to have it activated. Is this true? It won't pair and acts as though there's no power to it.

Model number of the Moto Bluetooth? Is this the Volvo branded unit or a Motorola aftermarket version? It'll be like a IHF1000 or IHF1500 or T16, something like that.

Real nice guy over on Swedespeed [khnitz], might be posting here as well, can contact him via the information in the thread http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread ... ot-working to get some advice on troubleshooting. Pretty straight forward system but he knows them far better than I do and can get you headed in the right direction. He might have a few spare parts around as well, when I bought my '08, had to cobble a system together and he was the best source.

No activation by Volvo required, it's plug and play when it works.
