Hi,

Just saw your post. Here are a couple of shots. The passenger side rear floorboard was buckled up some. The drivers side rear door was damaged after the first collision when it slid into a light pole. That is where my son hurt his elbow.

Hi,

I guess it depends on who you ask. There was only one occupant in each car, and although the report stated he had seat belts on, his head was partially outside the passenger door window opening and he was laying across the passenger seat when the car stopped. As best as I could tell without touching his car, his seat belt was not broken. I'll have to let you be the judge.

If the driver's seat was that far reclined, the seat belt wouldn't have done much good even if he was telling the truth about wearing it.

They are made to break on impact- at least in Volvo's. Not sure about other manufacturers....also depends on type of impact.

Last week they finally gave me a check for $2600, and I had to haggle with them and produce receipts and it took forever to get them up from $1700. Everytime I talked to them they were like "oh, I didn't notice the leather seats" and "you had a glass moon roof?" I had to have them come out 4 times and went to them once.
I guess this is a farewell from me, I have really enjoyed this site and community, but I guess I won't have a Volvo for awhile (not because I don't want one). A buddy of mine is selling me his ex wife's fully loaded 95 Audi A6 for the insurance settlement amount (which is way under blue book) to help me out and to get his past behind him. It is fairly equivalent to my 850, but automatic instead of standard and has 70000 less miles on the clock.
Well, its been fun, and this site has saved me thousands of dollars. Best forum I have ever used.
Thanks
