Change front exhaust cam seal 2001 v70 t5 Topic is solved

This is a tricky job. Basically proceed like you are doing a timing belt change with rear cam lock down. You then need to remove the cam gears and VVT hubs which are tricky to time after wards. Plenty of stuff if you search. Once the hubs are off you will see the seals. Note their depth, take a picture and then remove them and replace. Do the rears at the same time b/c everything but the seal will be off already as you need to put the cam locks on.
The VVT bolt (torx) is on very tight. Also clean first and then scratch or pencil where the Cam gear bolts sit (although an age/oil mark should be evident) - you will want to return the bolts to the same basic location. One other thing - some mark the front and back VVT movement as it makes install easier. Do a little digging and you will understand.
