Question on subframe

I've put yesterday liquid wrench on all of them, and also put the torch on them although the seal at the pan started to make some smoke.. The 4-5 lower bolts are badly rusted, the car had no engine splash shield... The 1/4" torx socket is a great idea it's the way to go as the 3/8" ratchet doesn't have enough clearance near the pan for the lower bolts. Trying again this morning... otherwise, dremel time

I punched them but didn't go inside the whole, will do it next the way chrism says

Went to Volvo to buy new bolts. #986321 at $3 each and they have been modified. They are now made by Volvo with good steel (as opposed with the ones in the Japanese transmission). The original ones have a locking washer, which is gone in the new design.

Learning something, the valve cover pan bolts are the same as the engine splash shield bolts. These last ones have 10mm hex head which is easier to grab with a ratchet (10mm spanner won't fit because of the pan lip) and... cost $1 instead of $3 for the specific pan bolt. The splash shield bolt is 2 threads longer but fits well on the vb pan, I've tested it. The are also of the exact steel. No reason for this price difference other than perhaps sales volume.

Speaking of splash shield flange bolts, I lost one and am having difficulty finding one that matches the original. I got one from the dealer but it had a 10mm hex head instead of the original 12mm. So it's one more socket change that I'd like to avoid. And the built in flange is smaller in diameter than the original and barely covers the hole in the splash shield. (The dealer offered to sell me a washer for $3.) It's and M8-1.25-15 and the loose stock that I find at hardware stores has 13mm hex. Not a huge problem but if anyone knows where I can find one with a 12mm head I'd appreciate it. The ones at FEPeuro has 10 mm. Thanks!
