2002 S60 2.4T about 60,000 miles.
After the car sits idle for a period, say overnight, upon unlocking with the keyless system there is a chattering from the passenger door that sounds like a relay clicking on and off. None of the electrics in the passenger door work (window, lock, mirror). The light in the bottom of the outside mirror flashes in time with the clicking. Also, the air temperature reading in the digital display of the speedometer reads -- instead of a temp.
After driving for a while the chattering stops and things begin to work. The temp reading counts down to the right temp from a large number well over 100 and the other electric items work; however, the auto-window feature seems to have stopped working altogether so you have to hold the button down to run the window all the way up or down.
For short periods of idleness this doesn't happen; I would say only after 6-8 hours. It's not temperature dependent, happens in cold or hot weather. What else can I tell you? Any help would be appreciated.

Passenger door electric malfunction 2002 S60
Well, the chattering has now stopped and the door electrics are completely dead. Before this happened, I did try leaving the car unlocked overnight and the problem appeared in the morning nonetheless, so maybe it had nothing to do with the lock. It was taking longer and longer for the system to correct itself.

You may need a software update to correct this (dealer) and still maybe a door lockw2qob wrote:Well, the chattering has now stopped and the door electrics are completely dead.
