My negative review was very specific, not hyperbole. FCP Euro didn't sit on it for a couple hours. They simply wouldn't publish it. In fact, they did nothing at all until they saw this thread. I don't want to "suspect the worst," but this really doesn't bode well for their business ethic.bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑23 Aug 2017, 07:40That's a good point. I wasn't able to post a negative review on the Meyle HD upper torque mount bushing because the listing was pulled shortly after I complained about it. I replaced it with a Lemforder under warranty.
Good move, hopefully Jason will see this and be able to help out with this.
I've seen plenty of negative reviews on FCP, and they definitely do sway my decision. Unfortunately sometimes the negative reviews don't get published as fast, and I believe Jason from FCP said in this thread they have to be approved. These websites need to be able to weed out the one-star reviews that say no more than "THIS PART IS JUNK!!! DON'T EVERY BUY IT!!!"
With FCP supposedly getting rid of price matching and a couple prices being raised slightly, maybe this is part of them getting a little full of themselves with their expanded advertising, but they still don't seem like a dishonest company. I've been a loyal FCP customer the past 2 years now, they're one of the few companies I trust. And I don't even trust Amazon!

Maybe two years ago I posted a negative review about Bilstein HD struts after I installed them, while FCP was having a special promotion of those struts. It was very quickly posted. I remember thinking at the time "that's gotta hurt, having to see a negative review on a product you're promoting, kudos to them". Anyway, that was my only experience with FCP + negative reviews.

At this point, several weeks after my last contact with FCP Euro, I think it's fair to say that they have absolutely no intentions of doing anything with this issue other than hoping it silently dies. No doubt they're hoping that the absence of negative reviews will absolve them of any future liability. And hopefully nobody else has a near-fatal experience with Cardone steering racks sold by FCP Euro.
As for me, I think it's pretty obvious that I'll never buy from FCP Euro again.

Hi Jeff,
Again, we sincerely apologize for the issue with the rack and all the trouble this has caused. With that said, I just wanted to drop in to give you an update since there may be a communication gap somewhere.
I just spoke with Kyle in our service department who has been in touch a couple times since the issue. Looking through your correspondence, it looks like we left off issuing a return label to get the faulty rack back so we can return the unit to Cardone for a complete teardown and thorough inspection. We’re just as concerned as you are and want to take a detailed look at things.
We had been anticipating the rack to be mailed back, but it sounds like it hasn’t been shipped back yet. If the unit is in the mail, we’ll keep an eye out for it, but I did see where you’re listing the car for sale “as-is” and assume the rack is still installed.
Since it now sounds like you don’t want to return the rack with the pre-paid return label Kyle sent, I have issued a full refund for you. We’d like to get to the bottom of this with Cardone as much as you do, and take it just as seriously, but understand the time involved on your end and your wanting to just see this resolved. If you do later decide to remove it from the vehicle, please let us know so we can update the pre-paid return shipping label.
Let me know if you intend to send the unit back, and I’ll see to it personally that a new shipping label gets generated.
In regards to product reviews, we genuinely value your honest feedback. It’s because of customers like yourself that take the extra time to leave reviews (both positive and negative) that we’re able to maintain a high level of quality throughout our catalog.
We do however remove product reviews when they aren’t relevant to the product itself. If a review is about something arriving damaged, fitting incorrectly, or missing in parts, we’ll address and resolve within those respective areas (shipping carriers, our online catalog (my responsibility), guys out in the warehouse picking parts, etc.). We actually prefer to remove poor quality parts, not the reviews, since sub-par brands and parts are actually more expensive for us to maintain with our lifetime guarantee. It’s easier when we sell reliable parts that last, so every negative product review helps make our catalog that much better.
The steering rack you purchased has been removed, along with every other Cardone steering rack for that matter, based on your experience and the severity. We take our quality that seriously. To clarify, your review was NOT removed, the review still resides with the product in our back end system. The Product, however was removed from our offering, therefore your not able to view the product or the review.
Again, Sorry for the trouble you've had with the Cardone steering rack.
I Appreciate your feedback on everything, If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected]
Thanks,
Jason

Thank you Jason, I appreciate your addressing of this. And yes, I got my refund.
At this point the car is for sale "as is," which is a shame because other than the steering rack problem, it's 100% roadworthy and in nice shape.
I have no desire to roll around under the car and replace the rack again. But a good friend of mine really wants to do it with me, so he can give the car to his sister-in-law, whose husband just left her and their 5 kids. If we do that, I'll let you know and will send the old unit back to you.
Again, thank you.
