I have been trying to diagnose an ABS issue on a '99 S70. My icarsoft reader works fine in my C70- it can enter the abs and live data feed. However, I cannot enter the ABS or received live data streams from any of the systems on the S70. Matty Moo suggested checking the fuse on the interior cig lighter- which actually does not work- and the fuse was fine and even replaced it with a same amperage fuse.
Is there an alternate port within the engine? My basic code reader, as does my icarsoft, can read basic emission systems (I have not tried data feed) but does not seem to read most of the advanced systems in the car as it should.

Check with iCarSoft but it may not have the ability to pull that info. If it has the ability to be updated, make sure it is on the latest updates.
If it were me, I'd lookup a pinout for the OBD-II interface and make sure you are getting the +12V and good ground at the plug using a multi meter.

I think we lost the LED readout option with ME4.4 (1996 on?) and definitely with Me7 (1999)
I do remember a thread where someone worked LEDs from the OBD port though.
I don't think there are any more readout ports under hood once OBD II turned on

Ignore his comment, "Light Emitted Diode flash to read engine code" only applys to 94-95 850.
I imagine chassis ground. Test 12v and ground with a multimeter.volvooh wrote: 01 Sep 2017, 06:23 Also, where would the OBD port be ground to? Is it in the console?
