exhaust system swap

I love being fifteen minutes from a parts yard that always has at least ten P2s in it..

So now my 2001 V70T5's rear muffler is rusted out. The parts yard has a 2006 V70T with a near new system on it, from front muffler to tailpipe. It's a bit confusing trying to cross reference this, especially when comp photos of the 2006 rear muffler are upside down, and some sites say yes but others no.

So would anyone know if I can put the 2006 system in my 2001?

Can't you just measure it?
Pnp prices are very low, I'd just make it work with couplers and clamps if it is close enough.

It looks like a near match. I can't see any difference at all. But most on line parts places list them as non swappable..... and some that sell the rear muffler only have a brand that isn't good for both years, but another brand that is...
