Crank position reference sensor resistance

Hi everyone, 2000 S70 base 155k miles. Recently had mil activated, pulled code P0339 intermittent signal for crank position sensor, shortly followed by P0336 circuit range/ performance for the crank position sensor. Driveability suffered noticeably on the return home. Car was very sluggish, and lurched occasionally. I disconnected the crank position sensor and checked the resistance. Reading was 133 ohms. My question is, is this resistance value in the correct range, and also if it is, is there a possibility the sensor could still be intermittently malfunctioning? The sensor appears original, has Volvo stamped on the sleeve and denso on the plug. Visibly it appears in good condition. Wires are intact and pliable, connections solid and sensor itself isn't marred, dirty, or damaged. I'll also add that when I removed it that the wire itself wasn't in proximity to other electrical wiring that would interfere. Any insight is appreciated thanks -Paul

Might be able to send you a used one to try if my college kid comes home this weekend? Are you near Bryn Mawr?

That resistance would be low for a 93-98 sensor (spec is 300 +/- 40 ohms), but I don't know the spec for a 99-00.

Thanks for the link. After the a/c voltage test I can confidently pronounce this sensor inoperable. I guess it gave its all for almost 18 years. I'll be ordering a replacement. Thanks Abscate and Erik.
