Im stuck on this job
Im here
I was hoping to lock the flywheel and slowly back out those Torx to ease the pressure plate tension evenly, but in VIDA Ive got a huge concoction of special tools I don't have:
I sure hope I don't have to put this back together to flatbed it to my indie Volvo guy...

Abscate,
I do not remember how I did the job.... but I did not have the tool and I removed them. Don't really remember how... but I merely followed a tutorial that was online. Have you gotten past this issue?
I just searched on line now... I think this is what I did...
"To Undo flywheel bolts. If you need to lock the crankshaft, take a metal bar and wedge it between a tooth of the starter ring and some engine bay bits. The bolts aren't that stuck at all. It won't fall either as it's slid onto the crankshaft."
Abscate - In other words "I think" I loosened them before the part was out so I was able to rig a lock.

I have a flywheel lock I can make work, the issue I'm facing, I think, is the release of the pressure plate tension.
I think my confusion is the tools are for the self adjusting clutch, which I don't think I have.
I'm pretty sure I can just back off the pressure plate Torx screws 1/2 turn at a time, but would like confirmation.
It's expensive stuff to wreck.

Good progress!
I take it you plan to reuse the pressure plate? I've done a few clutch jobs and here the pressure plate looks no different than any other. I removed it slowly as you described, 1/2 turn at a time on the bolts. Is time consuming but the plate comes off evenly. Same for installation.
BTW, when you reinstall the pressure plate some of the fingers may be misaligned. Grab them in channel locks and gently push them down until all the fingers are co-planar in situ. Else you'll have pulsation on the clutch pedal when you bring the release bearing forward to the pressure plate. An old timer gave me this tip. Yes, I learned the hard way (as usual) and had to yank the tranny a second time to fix it.

Update...standard pressure plate disc and flywheel configuration.
It unbolted in 1/2 turn intervals going crosswise with no issues.
Parts ordered and cleaning for reinstall this weekend if parts come
