When I see 10 years warranty, you already know it has to be the lowest quality on the market. The kind of parts that last 10000 miles.
Lemforder doesn't offer any so to speak warranty and it's the best on the market.

LEts us know how it works out. With Volvo (ref rspi's thread on XC90 spring seat lifespan) as short as 2 years with the XC90 version, perhaps these may be no worse, but who knows they may be way better! It would be interesting to see how the bearing plate holds out too. I just bought 2 OE Volvo from FCP (with lifetime warranty also) on clearance but they were $105 each for the bearing plates and the last set of XC90 spec's Volvo OE spring seats were $55 each (IIRC).

That is true. But, Lemforder parts also cost a lot more, but you do get what you pay for. Plus it's lifetime warranty if you buy from FCP.
We'll see how they hold up. Like Neil said, they could surprise everyone.

The devil is in the details, here is a(nother) heads-up for anyone reading along who is confused about terms like "Volvo's XC90 spring seat" or "Volvo XC90 spec:"

The Volvo-branded XC90 spring seat and the Volvo-branded 850 spring seat are the exact same thing, same part number same part and same "spec," it's been that way for about 5 years now.

Just happened to me today... got a used strut off Ebay, it looks basically new with Volvo parts.. the strut arrived, looked really good with recent Volvo spring and strut, the bearing plate and the spring seat also look like new. And I've installed it today... went for a ride.. and a big clunk! I thought I've forgot to tighten something, stopped the car, had a helper turn the steering wheel while filming this:

Easy to understand my surprise. Reason: the previous owner put a cheap aftermarket spring seat on a new Volvo strut and spring. So basically he spent a ton of money for a strut and spring from Volvo, then cheaped out on the spring seat. The whole assembly is less than 1 year old, and that's how much cheap spring seats actually last.

Put a wrench on the top nut and it will rotate - tells you right away that the spring seat is broken.

Those would be a decent solution but I think they stopped making them, they are hard to find for sale anywhere.

How about MTC strut bellow, bump stops by Bilstein, strut mount plate by Lemfoerder, Koni str's and strut mounts by Evan Fischer? This is all pieced together through Amazon and the only piece that I tend to cringe at are the strut mounts. Or, are they ok?
