I found an ECU intake hose at the PaP today that was in perfect condition. $0.95 near mint used beats out $15 new any day!
Also grabbed another shift knob and egg crate to add to my collection... if anyone is interested in either, let me know!

Drove the V70 to work, had a kerflunk while leaving my driveway - realized the only thing left that could cause it happens to be the torque tube bushing. Looks to be a pain in the rear unless you have the right size c-clamp and a small piece of plate steel.

Found either I lost, or someone helped themselves to, the little piece of plastic that goes around the front tow/tie-down hook.

Have figured out that thus far this old car has had a better track record in my first year of owning it than my previous model year 2007 car. Quality lasts...

Front struts, springs, spring seats, strut mounts and sway bar end links. Did it after work on Friday and even had time to monkey with a loose belly pan! I am a total novice, but was able to do the job with help of a local shop putting the struts and springs together. Air would have been nice, but not needed. I put in Sachs struts and they seem a little loose, but a world better than it was.

I discovered today you get a lot more boost when your vacuum tree line goes to your CBV rather than the elephant hose from the MAF to the turbo, and your CBV no longer is holding off your turbo because it was connected to the elephant hose.

With wizechtmgr help, definitive diagnosis that the NoisyPig has a bad AC clutch bearing - can see the wobble.

Kahl has very nicely sent me a short belt to diagnose - I will decide between used or new AC compressor over winter.

Also temperature override DOES defeat AC on the 1999 ME7, even in the DEFROST position.

Yeeeaaah..... you kinda need a real vacuum source going to the CBV.

I mashed into it at 3000 rpm and almost broke my seat mounts. I probably should go back and reset my wastegate

So wcm and I had a good week, he restored my boost and together we found a 1/8 of a turn to get his passenger side axle bolt torqued (later typeM10 bolt) stopped his Vida ABS brake error message....pending a week of driving check. We also caught pulley wobble on the AC compressor, so hopefully that will quiet the Noisy Pig 1999

I picked up a silver MT 2000 V70 last week for cheap, and started with the rear brakes / parking brake. Things were pretty rusty back there, but everything went off without a hitch! Need to readjust the parking brake after a short test drive, but otherwise a marked improvement.

Heard about this one from the Marcomm department, Bruno. Watch those rear rotors to see if the get shiny as you drive it to make sure those calipers are free.

Next time you order parts , add some bleeder screws to the order and replace them all, after you push 500 ml of fluid through each one of course.
