Replaced both top and bottom engine covers for last round of jobs, and replaced bottom torque mount. 18mm and 15mm sockets , basically unbolt and bolt on

I was around, doing nothing these days, as usual.
Getting old sucks.
I washed the wagon for the holidays. I can't let relatives see me with a dirty car, I must keep up my reputation until I'm dead and buried.
After that, I guess I won't care!

Our 05 S80 2.5T (184,000 miles) was starting to miss occasionally when accelerating at highway speed. Pulled out the nearly 100,000 NGK copper cores and replaced with the same brand/part number. Now back to running as she should. NGK BKR6ES - $1.39 a pop at Rock Auto. Can't seem to convince the folks around here to try them. They'd rather go buy the Volvo plugs at $10+ each, even though what Volvo now sells as "OE" is nothing like what the car was built with originally. Oh well, lack of demand keeps the NGK prices down

Installed two new Sachs rear shocks (PN 315243). $120.63 shipped from eEuroparts.com with MVS code discount. Original Volvo shock mounts were reused (great shape) even after 16 years of light wear and tear. Rear of car clearly tighter when rounding corner decelerating from the interstate.
Noticed that the OE replacement shocks from Sachs are now manufactured in Spain. The original Volvo shocks from 2001 were Sachs brand but manufactured in Germany. I'll be happy if the new shocks last half as long as the originals.

I must chime in:
After changing my rear shocks first ('02 V70 using Sachs SuperTourings) I was floored by the improvement in ride.
Oddly enough, new fronts improved things without a doubt, but didn't wow me like the rears.
