S60 headlight problem

I had a low beam headlight out message and sure enough the drivers side headlight was not working. So I took the bulb out and it looked fine. Then I tested it with my handy volt meter and it tested fine. The fuses all are good and it is only one headlight bulb. Im confused?

Should I go ahead and replace the bulb even though it looks fine? What else could it be?

probably the socket....it's not making good contact with the bulb. Take some fine sand paper and rub it in the socket to get any corrosion out...then try inserting the bulb again to see if it comes on.

I found the problem, I drank decaf this morning after a 12 hour day at work yesterday.

As humbling as it is to admit, I was looking at the wrong bulb.

The low beam is burned out.

No problem....we all do things. Best news is that you know what it is, and it's a simple bulb replacement.
