Volvo 940 sedan 1994 drop out
Next problem I need to tackle: when driving over 50 mph, if I lift my foot off of the gas with any speed faster than zen gradual the car occasionally (not always) shudders - like it has been momentarily shut off. It lasts all for a 1/4 second. Only over 50 mph. Does not lurch, more like a hiccup. Brought it to the mechanic a few times to look for the problem and hasn't been found. Any ideas?

Sounds like the torque converter is a little slow to unlock ... Sticky Signal valve or Changeover valve?
