TCM Swap Require Coding?

Post by ferocity02 »

I'm tracking down a transmission fault AT-124. I've tried damn near everything I can think of and it won't go away.

I would like to replace the TCM next. On eBay they are going for only $20 shipped, used obviously, so it's worth a shot.

Assuming I get a TCM with the same part number, is there any special coding to get the TCM to work in my car?

My car is a 1998 Volvo S70 GLT. The TCM part number is 9181888.

No coding 0n 98 and older That tarted with 1999 models in US. The same part number is the only thing needed.

Great! Guess I lucked out. I bought one for $10 shipped. I doubt it will fix the issue but it will be one more thing to rule out.
