The front seats in my V70 are pretty clapped out after 300,000 miles. I’m having an impossible time finding charcoal front seats. Does anyone sell skins or make a decent cover for these things?

There is a company that sold seat cover replacements for Volvos. See this thread:

You could try calling around to local upholstery shops and see if they will re-upholster automotive seats. I'm still waiting for two local shops to get back to me with estimates on patching up the bad parts on my front seats. Unfortunately, they probably won't be able to get an exact material match, but I'd rather have mismatched leather than big hunks of it missing.

Unfortunately, they probably won't be able to get an exact material match.

Does it really matter? The front seats fade and crack faster then the back seats due to different exposures to sunlight. Compare your back seats with your front seats as they are. Are they an exact match now?

Some upholstery shops might shy away from doing Volvo car seats because the side air bag is behind the bolster panel. The bolster panel needs to be of the correct burst strength to avoid interfering with the deployment of the side airbag. Upholstery shops may not want to risk a potential liability. Potential liability is why it took so long for aftermarket airbags to reach the market. Mom and Pop cannot afford to mess up ....

If you come across a first generation C70 with interior code 2789 ... holler at me.

I've been using the Greek (eBay seller: topcar-athens) seat covers for three years now. No tears, no major stains either. For the price, it's been pretty good. (both front seats looked like they'd been mauled by wolves...) Does get a little hot in the summer... (Definitely going to get the A/C running perfectly this summer!) If I ever get into a pick-n-pull would really like to take apart a seat and make a pattern to try to refab the seat myself. But time...
