99 s70 awd, p0756
Hi guys im new to this forum. I have been doing research but not have a solid solution here. My 99 s70 awd have the notorious flashing arrows, scanned for fault dtc and founs the following, p0756, p0722. Now p0756 is shift solenoid b stuck off, and p0722 output shaft speed sensor, Now i cant really find shit solenoid b, the only at any part store looks like they only sell one shift solenoid and it does not seem to be the one. Also wouls like to know if p0722 can be causing this issue. Vehicle shift 1st and 2nd after clesring code fine but when going into 3rd gear it bangs gear hars and then vehicle goes on limp mode. I hope someone can help. Thank you

Solinoid stuck off means no fluid flow. , Search eBay, and if possible the boneyards, a trans shop is going to want to sell you a new trans, so if you find your solinoid and it does not fix it, than 1 of to this is wrong
1. ( Worst case) the trans is bad and there is an internal fluid leak
2. The wiring is bad and it lost either a power or ground connection
What is the part number for the solinoid? I'll give a look, I'm against part stores

Try the Volvo parts lisle site for part numbers. I’m not sure they drill into transmission that deep but it might.

C: how about when you manually shift the car, or try S mode button? Has the fluid been checked/changed? May be past that point, but cheap first step.
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

So i was doing some more research, and sae that there could be a possible tcm or pcm update. Along with transmission drain and fill. Will be calling my local volvo dealer. But i dont want to drive the car like that so i might have to tow it there, if they say there is an update. Also i dont know if this year have a tcm reset apperently that also can fix it. As the transmission apperently was replaced before. Eill keep posted until i find a fix. As it seems this is a com6on issue but no one ever really post on how they ended up fixing it. Or if they fix it. Thanks guys
