Alignment after shocks

Good to hear and thanks for the follow up. Looks like you kept your alignment close enough that an alignment was not needed. If the car was AWD I would say you are crazy because ruining one tire requires the replacement of all four, but FWD that is not necessary.

Major alignment issues show up as obvious uneven tire wear in a few thousand miles or less. Moderate/minor issues still wear the tires uneven, but may not be noticeable until after 10-20 thousand miles or more.

It may seem like to drives fine at the moment..

However, on snow and ice, minor to moderate alignment issues can be detrimental to straight line tracking and stability. Especially if the problem is at the rear. It can make the difference between rolling uneventfully across a patch of ice straight ahead in the same lane and the rear end wanting to wander and fishtail with a much higher chance of losing it.

I still would recommend getting it checked.

Every P80 owner needs to have this in their hands before going to the alignment shop.

Alignment tech gets their information from the alignment machine, often time the machine has the wrong info for Volvo.
