Volvo Center Speaker

Hello everyone, I have a 98 S70 T5 that has the factory dolby pro-logic system, which has the center speaker in the dash. there is typically a grille that covers the speaker but mine is missing. I’d like to get one to protect it from the sun but I can’t seem to find one anywhere as i’ve never seen another S70 with the dolby system and C70s aren’t very plentiful in junkyard. I was wondering if someone has a grille in a parts car or has one in a parts stash somewhere. My phone number is (316) 491-3880. Thanks! -Zane

I have never seen one up here in Canada. If anyone has them they are expensive as they are obsolete from Volvo. I know they are also fragile and tend to break when removed as they sit in the sun. Try the usual specialists and you may get lucky.

Actually it may be worth trying a dealer for laughs as I know the black/dark gray one is not available for sure, but maybe the one for your car is. Has the dash top been replaced as it is a different color? It looks like the beige cover, and the lower looks like the arena/oak/lt. taupe combo

Real hard to find, expect to dig deep if you want it.

If you do find one in a savage yard. Do yourself a favor, remove the dash and release the center speaker grille from the bottom. Plastics aged in sunlight have a tendency to be brittle, UV damage .... so coax it out, not pop it out.

thank you guys! i asked the volvo dealership the same thing because the dash top looked mismatched to me, but they said that others with the prologic system are the same way. the dash top matches my door panels though, you just can’t tell in the picture i added. i will be sure to release the clips for the speaker from the underside if i ever find one in a yard. thankfully the dash pad is easy to remove
