850 stops accelerating
850 stops accelerating
Hello there! Maybe someone out there has experienced something similar... For some reason my 850 will stop accelerating at around 5000rpm. Te turbo kicks in and it pulls well in the lower rpms, but then it wiill suddenly stop pulling and eventually the transmission will shift (but not smoothly...) It's a 1994 850 turbo. I've changed the plugs (I'm going to try the wires, rotor, ditributor but I have a feeling it isn't that). I've look at the vacuum connections and maf. They seem fine. If I hammer on the gas a few times, the problem seems to subside... Any ideas. Thanks.

Did it ever go past 5000 rpm's? Sounds like the limiter is kicking in to me.
