The car was bought "new" from the dealer with 14 K miles on the clock in 2006. I bought it from the original owner with 205K on the odo earlier this month. PCV glove test showed the merest beginning of partial inflation, so I will have to do the PCV system, and it will need a timing belt and ancillaries in another 4 K. I also want to do a complete transmission fluid replacement. Thus, owner's ask of $5k turned into a deal at $4,300. I have an inch thick service file with complete (Volvo dealership) service history from 0 miles. All expensive services done. Diff. resealed. Transmission replaced under warranty at 55K miles. Rear nivomats replaced. Car drives as well as it looks. Regular history of all factory services done at or near recommended mileages. Regular oil changes. Mileage was higher than I would have preferred, but to say the car was well cared for would be like saying Fred Astaire could dance a bit.

I need to get a straight story on the fluid though. Owner's manual says JWS3309 but web says the 6 speed autobox needs "AW-1" fluid, which is pretty hard to find.
