Newbie needs radio code for a 1998 S 70

Hello all

Just picked up a 1998 S 70 sedan and I need the radio code. Can someone help me? Not sure if I can post a picture so here are the numbers:

3533771-1

VO8170 V2679196C

If anyone could please help me I would appreciate it.

Jim used. To do this for people until reading comprehension failed and people couldn’t follow the simple instructions he posted and turned the service into a 10 email excursion.

Look around on the case for a 4 digit number written with a sharpie. About 90% of them will have the code written on them somewhere. Barring that, the guys at the parts counter at your nearest dealer will get it for you. To make it easy for them I just carry the radio in and set it on the counter.

Pulled the radio out. No code written on it. I will take to dealer, just thought someone on the forum might be able to help.

I have also had various salesmen write the code in my owner's manual pre delivery on every car i can remember except my current car. So look in the manuals for a code written in. June

I used the VIN and put it on the Volvo website, it emailed me two hours if that later.
