And you tried putting the old parts back in right? All of them?

What info are you using to make sure the wires are installed correctly?

i replaced the spark plugs, wires, rotor and cap,,, as i was replacing the cap and rotor i must have disturbed the distributor wires which got caught and broke when i tried to start it which made it run rough so i replaced the distributor. ran a bit better but still rough! i was stumped at this point because i was sure i had the wires in the correct order! so randomly felt the headers while running rough! 1 and 4 were hot while 2 and 3 were cold so i switched wires 2 and 3 and i was back in business ! runs amazing !

sry for the weak review im in a rush!

Well I am glad someone fixed there problem. Congrats, I wish I could find mine! I had posted the possible cause of two opposing wires still being crossed. After I posted I realized there was a second page so I revised my answer to this. I drove a Grand Am for a week with this exact problem. I got so frustrated trying to find the problem until one night it dawned on me. Swapped two wires and ran great. (At least for a year until the oil pump went out and the motor seized.) :o
2001 S80 T6 267K, Used paid $700. New tires and wheel bearings. Replaced a few interior parts, a few exterior parts, now working on getting the sunroof and interior lights to work (replaced alarm module, still not working). Working om ETM now

(SOLD) 87 244DL 230K Used from step dad.
