See above, that thermistorcan blow when connecting the battery and may influence the heat output Are you in manual or automatic climat mode?

I don't have VIDA, so that is not an option. I guess that I will get a new (used) EEC and try that. I do appreciate your input.
Worth a try no doubt, but executing the suggestions now isn't likely to help, if it wasn't done properly the first time then the thermistor is likely already blown.

I did a little more poking around over the weekend. Could I have a blocked heater core? I ran the car for 5 minutes at 2000 RPM. The temperature gauge was at the 12:00 position. The outdoor temperature was 33 degrees F. Using a non-contact temperature sensor, I read 203 F at thermostat housing, 158F at lower radiator hose, 180F at drivers side heater hose, 158F at passenger side heater hose & 77F at center heat duct outlet. Any thoughts?

Sounds like flow was poor. But not terrible. However that shouldn't suddenly have occured when switching battery..

If the duct temp goes up with engine rpm the heater core is blocked. The engine oil coolers can introduce oil into the cooling system and blocks the small passages through the core. I would inspect the oil cooler at the inlet/outlet which has a straight shot into it. If it is not bright metal or has obvious gunk in it then it is the culprit. The heater core will also need to be changed. Flushing the heater core has some success but not always. It is fairly common.
