Short crank

I bought a 2005 xc70 with a blown motor. Mechanic replaced motor but cant get it to start it will only roll for half a second if i go from off to roll position. Then stops cranking. I do have an immobilizer message but i dont know why it qould crank at all if it was the immobilizer. Need suggestions thanks

Turn key on, pull the starter motor relay and jump terminals 3 & 5, See if it will do a long crank.

If i jump 3&5 it will crank all day but no fire also we did notice there was no power to the ecu fuse

1. Put the relay back in.
2. Get in the car the lock/unlock the door 5 times in a row with the remote.
3. Try to start car.
