99 s70 abs check engine light
this is my first trip to your forum there seems to as much or more misinformation than good information on other sites one place says you can test sensors with ohm meter other place says these should be tested with wheels turning on ac volts tried ac check got 0 volts tried ohm test got 0 should it be assumed sensors are bad

You can test them both ways.
If you get 0 Ohms when wheel is stationary or O Volts when wheel is rotated ...then that sensor is dead.
I take it that you measured that directly on sensor's connector.
Please use interpunction signs in writing, since it is a bit hard to read what you wrote.

There was some topic here on MVS about a week or so about abs sensors.
I think that they mentioned that cheap aftermarket ones will not work.
If you go aftermarket...go with reputable brands.

You will need ATE sensors if the car is equipped with ATE abs system.

Disconnect the sensor at the suspension strut. Pull the plug apart, and ch3ck the resistance at that plug, it should be 1200-1500 Ohms. They rarely go bad, other than damaged wires. Sometimes the tone ring hits them which will causeABS errors

Most likely a front left ABS sensor fault will be a ABS module error.
There's a couple good write-ups here on how to do a top class solder repair to the ABS circuit board or just send it to Matty Moo at Midwest ABS.
