I think you got it mixed up

Just ordered a crap load of parts yesterday, ordering more today. Once I take care of a couple other things I'll be ordering the tune from Hilton. She's gonna be terrorizing the streets soon!

Did my motor mounts on '94 850. Couple of the comments I'm sure have been said before. Radiator cooling fan asemmbly has to come out and I've seen some tutorials not mentioning removal of the upper engine torque rod, this is not mandatory, but would be helpful in keeping the engine level while raising and lowering. To make sure you keep the engine level I would recommend using two jacks ( one under oil pan, one under trans). The other thing about only raising the engine 24 mm, good luck with that. Anyway mounts are in and I think my front one was still good and probably original, the rear showed some signs of leakage. Car seems to ride and shift a lot smoother now. This was a relatively difficult job and would put on par with rear delta link job. Picking a day that was 28 degrees out and snowing didn't add to the happiness of doing this job, but the result was worth it.

Where abouts are you upstate? Wondering if you're in range of the Albany Volvo meetups that occasionally occur.
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Yesterday I finished installing the new starter on the 850 and it went really well. I think I'm getting quite comfortable tearing into the engine compartments of these cars. I found taking out the fan with the shroud together as an assembly works well. Easy to do and provides a lot of space.

While I had the car in the garage, I also fixed the horn problem and installed new insulators. That was a fun little project. When I bought the car last spring the horns were disconnected, so that gave me a pretty good clue about why they were not working.

I wanted to get all this done because my daughter wants to drive this car on her driving test next Saturday, but that ain't happening.
Because as a reward, I was greeted this morning with a complete no start situation. The engine tried to catch for 2 seconds and then it was dead, fun stuff. Basic troubleshooting time I guess...

And, to top it off... ha, the top off the dipstick broke off.

Another little project right now is trying to figure out if my car has a remote receiver, and if yes, which one. Once I figured this out at least I know which remote fob to get.
