New to me 99' S70, base, 5-speed, 209k

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's P80 platform cars -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

Yes sir, the only option as far as I remember is to get an aftermarket one from IPD. I had one of those on my very first 850 and it looked quite nice. I don't know if they even sell that still.

I gave the grille to member ThinAir who put it on his S70 T5M, which got totalled within a year or two. :x :(

Then he got a V50 T5M, then I stopped hearing from him. You out there ThinAir?

Those timing marks are on there, they are tiny....

Yes, very tiny apparently. And in my case covered with surface rust :shock:

But the other question is, what do they line up to? Very mysterious.

Maybe he launched the T5M into orbit and went from thin air to a vacuum. Cannot hear anything in a vacuum.

I got a lot done over the last couple of weeks:

New TB with WP, tensioner and idler.
New Coolant reservoir with new level sensor.
Replaced the main radiator hoses.
Replaced coolant with OEM type.
New PS reservoir with new suction hose.
Replaced PS fluid with Pentosin.
New OEM spark plugs replaced worn NGK's
New cabin filter. The old one was the dirtiest I've ever seen.
Cleaned the nearly new K&N air filter. This was just another weird surprise.

Test drove the car the other day and it runs well. Also no leaks so far which is good.

As I was going through all this I continued to clean the engine bay.
Looks a lot better, not perfect, but not so filthy either.

I also replaced the stereo with a much nicer one I got a while back.

Next is doing the rear brakes, replacing the front right brake hose and replacing the brake fluid.
I also have to still investigate the source of the parasite drain.
Then more polishing and fixing paint issues.

And look what I found last weekend:

I think these will look nice on the S70. Tires are shot except for one, and the brake dust does not come off.
I think they have to be refinished.
