New to me 99' S70, base, 5-speed, 209k

Help, Advice and DIY Tutorials on Volvo's extremely popular car line -- Volvo's 1990s "bread and butter" cars -- powered by the ubiquitous and durable Volvo inline 5-cylinder engine.

Ah, that picture was back brakes - I got fooled on that. They looked nasty.

How does mid June sound like?

But let me first see if the AC works, it never even occured to me that there is a sliver of a chance.
So far I was just assuming it's dead given the overall condition of the car at the time of purchase.

I have to take a photo of the receiver/ dryer this weekend, you have never seen anything like it :shock:

Whats wonderful when they are so rusted out is you have no qualms about cutting off the fittings, so removal is really easy.

Got confirmation yesterday that the AC is indeed inoperable. So abscate look at your calendar, I'm coming for a visit.
Anything we can do with this? Perhaps ship it to VT?

Have a look at those AC lines too - I think you will be needing those as well.

That is really, really bad!!!

Start hitting the 6mm hex bolts right behind the right headlight with PB BlasterNOW!!

Im thinking Im going to do Evita evaporator so I have a 5 year AC car. I wonder if I can get a buy on qty 5 evaporators, driers, o ring sets?

Anyone else in Northeast contemplating an evap R/R?
