Hello all;
I plan to give a try over this weekend to clear the existing "P0442" code by attempting to change out that so called "J" hose
under the left rear of the car. However I am not familiar at all with a specific jacking point on that left rear side as I want to be safe.
Can anyone tell me or send me a photo of a good jacking point for this job?
Thank you!
Jacking point on rear axle or support beam?

A car ramp is easier and safer.
The best jack point is the jacking point in the manual. Then a jack stand under the beam, because , of course, no one works under a car on a jack, since Darwin has removed those genes from the pool.
Floor jack?
Right under the spring, jack stand inboard.

For a floor jack. There are four hosting points under the car. Page 129 of your owners manual.

I have ramps but I thought I would have to remove the rear left wheel to access that "J" hose.

On my 1999 if you drive forward onto the ramp it gets out of the way of the EVAP canister access

Do I need a special tool to remove those fancy, schmancy Volvo hose clamps?

I think most people clip them off with diagonal pliers. You can use Pex clamps from home plumbing section to replace them
