Here's a photo of my little home-brew serpentine belt pulley tensioner tool that I've been using for a few years... made out of a 17mm wrench with a 17mmx17mm square block of aluminum taped in place. The block was a left-over from some other project. The block fits the square cut-out in the tensioner arm. By luck, the wrench is just long enough to give leverage to turn the tensioner, but not too long that you have to move the coolant tank and hose out of the way when turning it.
