Bosch or OEM spark plugs?

Post by Mikele82 »

102993 Bosch or OEM ?
the price difference 10$ vs 55$
is it a critical difference for my 2004 xc70 ?
any other brand price suggestion?

Bosch 102993 is copper, good for 30K miles.

I use NGK Iridium, good for 60K-80K. About $6/each. Info in forum.

You can also use Bosch Platinum.

Every office has their opinion, here's mine:

If you drive a lot, get the Pt or Ir and swap them out every 3 years.

If you don't, then the Coppers are much cheaper and last 2 years.

Don't let them sit in your head for 5 years because they 'last' 100k

I would just get the volvo ones and put a little oil on the threads. but as abscise says pull them out and put them back every three years minimum to keep them from seizing up. The ngk and Bosch are a Chinese copy concern too.
