Bent valves are likely the right diagnosis but I didn't see the cam belt pulleys picture (only the back of cams)with the crank set correctly.
How many teeth were you off ? Did you correct cam pulley position and recheck compression?
If I had to guess - It looks like you did correct the cam pulleys and then had no compression. If that is correct - valves are bent.

I honestly don't know if my comment would help determine if the valves are good or not but i think (assume) that if you take your cams off and all valve spring caps line up all the way at the top i believe that it is (maybe) a sign that the valves are sitting up flat at the cylinder head. In my project i will still take the Cylinder head off to proof my assumption but i am energetically trying not to. Anyways i hope it helps.
