850 GLT 2,5 20V Bolts issues

Hy guys,

I have a question. Behind the damper, there is a bracket that cover the timing belt. As I work in the street, I'm surely have mixed some bolts at a moment.

Are these bolts the right ones for this bracket ?

I could not find that piece on the Volvo website

That’s a very strange shape screw..

From ROBERTS video there Rex two m6 10mm screws holding that plastic but they come out to the front of the car I think

yes they are. I always figured the long eased nose was to keep the belt up in position or to prevent lazy people from trying to replace the belt without removing the harmonic balancer or guard.

ok guys, so they are the right ones at the right place.
To remove the belt without removing the harmonic balancer is an unbelievable fingers and nerves breaking time...
I was sure to have done it the correct way. Then, after the firsts turns of the engine, it smelt some worm gum and I saw the belt bitten from a part. I thought it was coming from these bolts.I must have put it incorrectly. Is there a tip to be sure to have correctly place the belt behind the B.H. ?

the hard way is the easy way in the end. just take off the balancer. then you can see what's going on. You need an air gun but you can just use a tire fill tank or a little nail gun compressor not plugged in but charged so you don't need electric or air hook up if working on the street. then two pry bars each side will pull it off if no puller handy. do not put the oil deflector or guide washer behind the balancer on reversed or it will eat the belt. dont fuck around not being able to see what's happening back there, the engine is relying on you. I have no patience with the bend the belt up under the balancer crowd. it will get kinked and knocked as there is very little room there to work.
