Flexplate compatibility between engine types

Would the flexplate from a 1998 V70 running a 2.0 litre engine have the same flexplate as a 2002 XC V70 2.5 litre? I'm looking to buy the 98 vehicle for parts.

Thanks for the response, I'm afraid you're probably right. Was just after advice from anyone familiar with the Volvo range.

If you use the Volvo web store and finding the flex plate, there is a fitment chart which will tell you what’s models it fits. It’s best to use part numbers to ID the parts
