Hello,
So, after having removed the crossmember to replace the transmission mount, I am putting everything back together and everything lines up fine....for the most part.
The crossmember seems to have shrunk in length since I removed it as the bolt holes on the crossmember are now just a tad out of line with the holes in the undercariiage of the car. The misalignment of the holes is very slight, but enough to prevent all four bolts from going in.
After wrangling with this for some time, I decided that very slightly enlarging the holes on the crossmember would be the way to go, but I thought I would ask for a second opinion before doing so.
Thanks!

The crossmember did not shrink, the holes moved further apart.
Lift the car at a point that will take some pressure off the stands which are pushing the holes further apart.

Excellent solution! I will remember that for next time. However, I ended up filing just a bit from the inside of the bolt holes on the crossmember, which allowed me to get the bolt through at the angle I needed. Given what you said, after lowering the car off the stands I'll definitely go back and snug up the bolts.
I was kidding about the shrinkage....lol
Thanks again!
