I have a 2001 Volvo S60 that cuts power to the engine at around 1200-1500 rpms. If I accelerate somewhat slowly and the Rpms are there then they drop down completely to idle.
Then after a few seconds (1 or 2) it’ll accelerate normally (sometimes aggressively)
This is pretty dangerous considering I could lose power when making a turn.
also if I’m turning and it accelerates aggressively it gets kinda hard to control it on the turn
It is intermittent
I have no clue what this could be so any help would be amazing

Where was the last time you cleaned out the Electronic Throttle Module (ETM) ? Throttle plate maybe sticking.

Any engine lights? Codes? I believe the 2001 has the famous MM ETM - a known failure item.

The MM ETM position sensor strips wear so that the engine computer is unable to determine the position of the throttle over parts of the sensor track. The computer then cuts power which matches your symptoms.
New ETM is likely needed, or Xemodex can repair it. There are contact-less position sensor ETMs replacements available to avoid a re-occurance.
