Does anyone know how to install the outer door trim? Does it just snap onto the plastic pieces or is it better to slide it on?
Are you referring to the plastic trim that runs along the lower side? That should just snap into place, there are clips along the trim. IIRC, there was also some adhesive running across the top and bottom of the trim.

Yes the one across my door I had to remove and I couldn't seem to get it to snap back on. Maybe I just need more force.

The 850 has an annoying rattle coming from the back, and I think it's the passenger side.
When I did the rear brakes I forgot to install the retaining springs for the pads. So I will install these to see if it remedies the problem. Cleaned the car yesterday and it's in the garage.

I finally ordered a rebuilt ABS module for the S70 from Matty Moo. That will be installed asap. Still need to replace the cracked hoses of the EVAP system and then hopefully I don't have to erase the stupid codes all the time anymore.

As of a few days ago the 05' V70 sports a nice rear spoiler. Interesting job, nothing like drilling big holes in the exterior of your car. Somehow the car isn't fond of the addition though, now I'm getting a "check stop lamp" warning message.
Well, I did check, and everything seems to be working fine, so I don't know what that's all about.

Check those cups under the springs if its a metallic rattle. 18mm bolt.

Then bring up those cars for the AC work.

Replaced the heater core in the 94T5M because I startet to smell a little coolant when turning on the heater. i got a hella unit which i thought was oe but i was wrong. the unit i got said tvc or something similar on it.
then i lost one of the new o-rings. so i had to put the old ones back in. then i bent quite some fins while installing the core.
so i actually screwed up on a really easy job.
pathetic ...

Changed the passenger side engine mount on the '01 S60... the old one was pretty shot! I had to jack up the engine quite a bit to even get to the bottom bolt.

I also picked up a 26 gallon Kobalt air compressor today... I love it! It powers my Earthquake XT stubby impact no problem, worked great to replace the mount. Time will tell how it holds up, but so far I'm pretty happy. It's unbelievably quiet, barely louder than my AC vacuum pump. It was a pretty good price on sale too, so I figured it was time to pull the trigger on a new compressor.

The 850 got a little shoe polish treatment yesterday. The trim was badly faded and I always wanted to try this out.

We shall see how long this lasts. But it's super easy to apply and takes only minutes to do the bumpers.

Today, it has a no-start, no-crank condition. I'm hoping it's just the antenna ring.
Nope, not the ring. Immob does not inhibit cranking on P80

. No cranks are easy - start by looking for 12V on the remote starter terminal when key is turned to POS III - you need a helper for this. She will help when she realizes she is helping to empty the driveway
Thanks! After another no-crank this morning, I noticed that the battery terminals and connectors were filthy. A quick scrub with a metal brush — plus some battery terminal protector — seems to have done the trick.

That's one chewed-up engine mount! It's so satisfying to see. I can only imagine how much more satisfying it was to swap it out, especially with the new compressor! :)
