I was originally going for Koni struts and Eibach springs but replacing every single parts (spring seats, strut bearings, bumpstops...) made it more expensive than BC coilovers, even with Koni orange struts :?
I have the exact setup you describe (Eibach springs, orange Konis) and it's fine. Gets the job done. I'm confident the shocks are of high build quality, but the ride is nothing special.

I installed new Bosch copper plugs, replacing Denso iridium plugs of indeterminate age.

Those gaps are huge, I’ll guess .045 inches.

The coilovers were on order only, so I still have 2 or 3 weeks to appreciate the Monroes crashing on every speed bump
I'll definitely have to look into those. I have Koni oranges up front right now with iPd springs, rear has stock nivomats with drop spacers. Eventually I'm thinking about swapping the rear suspension out to the FWD delta link and getting a matching setup in the rear, but we'll see what happens!

Installed a gold toilet I found, in my garage. Oro-throne. I wonder if there will be a movement in gold prices?

Heard a horrible screeching noise on my commute home, sounded like brakes on a big truck. Checked rotors, 3 out of 4 cool to touch, but LR I burned myself touching the rim spoke. Something hot back there. Loosened the bleeder screw on the caliper, and some fluid came out. Removed the old pads. Everything was horribly rusty and had to be yanked out. Back plates were delaminating and pads were worn uneven. Also think the rotor is slightly warped. I pulled the caliper and rotor off to inspect the hub. Hub will turn freely with a little effort, but certainty wont spin freely on its own. How stiff is too stiff for a wheel hub?

Worst case thinking I'm out for 2 new rotors, set of rear pads, LR caliper, and a new rear wheel hub. Great...
