Hi all,
First post here and I hope your insight can help.
Recently, when I start my S80 t6 (143,427 miles) and shift to reverse, then depress my brake fully, a light vibration and low noise coupled with seems to come from the engine block area.. perhaps the right side. Only in reverse and only when it’s cooler out or the night was cold and I haven’t driven the car a little while to allow it to warm.
The car drives fine, everything is good besides the small random things 08 S80s are common to have (sensor replacements, etc).
What should I be looking to do/replace here? I have a few mechanics and I’d like to know a bit before heading in.
THANK YOU
Vibration when in Reverse and Braking

Passenger side strut bar and upper engine mount, will make rattling, or shudder when in reverse. I just replaced mine yesterday. Strut bar is right on top of mount, two bolts. Then there is an aluminum bracket with 3 bolts to top of engine and 1 bolt to the mount. Mount is oil filled and collapses, when good it will have about a half inch of space between top of mount and bottom of the bracket.
