"... the $28 Costco 42W LED with good color and many good reviews"
Color temp control by any chance? Color temperature is something I'd want. It's in many LED applications today, not just photographic. It can affect mood, vision...

Yep, exactly. I hunted and hunted. VERY few "shop" lights with warm color temperature. No adjustability. These are 4000º, which is as high as I was willing to go. But they seem to be a bright and neutral white. I hate 5000º and up lamps, cold lighting, nasty fluorescents, blue headlights, etc... This is bright task lighting, and I'm ok with it. It actually looks good next to the warmer fluorescents already in there. When those bulbs quit I'll get the conversion kit, which snips the ballast and replaces the lamp holders at the ends.
Early LEDs were bad - different colors in the same lamp, blue light, changing color as they wore out, purple light......
(PS - Is 88.5 Denver Public Radio? All our NPR and college stations are right around there....89.1, 89.9....)

I won’t use anything higher than 2800K at home
We keep NPR on the left side of the radio band.

NPR is always on the left of the dial!
(No really, it is.
)
My signature photo is just something I saw today on the Volvo Internet. Complete random. No idea where it is.
KBGA I encountered when I was driving through on my move, DEN->SEA, by chance as I was filling up in Missoula with fuel. Mogwai! Never heard them before. Blew my mind. Always remembered how cool that station was, and cursed as it faded out. No biggie, I soon found the outstanding KCMU in Seattle.
That was Dec. 4, 1999, in my 1997 Accord LX 2-dr manual-5sp, black over grey cloth. Good car. Everything I cared about was in or on her... Bondi Blue gen 1 iMac in the trunk, grandfather's metal 1940s toolbox in the expedition basket on the roof.
My switch to the much nicer 1997 850 T-5 was to occur in 7 months.

A KBGA alum, sweet! It is random, it is weird, it is great. You can say KBGA really fast. I once gave my old turntable to a poor student DJ who had just broken hers and could only play her vinyl at the station.
I grew up in Denver, went to Seattle after grad school, moved here in '98 to help care for aging parents.
I'm quite excited over here.....
We decided not to cut the cords and hard-wire the lights. We put outlet boxes near them and plugged them in. You can change lights, you can move lights. I'll tie up the cords and staple to the ceiling (plywood). It's so bright in here, it's like night and day (ha!).
5000 watts of Blazing Heat! Actually, the Very Good Electrician was bundled up for cold and turned it way down. Only ran a few minutes. I didn't feel like it was that hot coming out the front. I put it on 5000w, turned up the thermostat, and let it run a while and the air coming out got much hotter. With insulation, I think it'll be fine. Interesting how long the slab stays cold, which is where you're laying most of the time.
Nice 30A double breaker at the top left. Easy to find so you can shut the whole system off. Below that two 20A outlet circuits for left and right sides, and a lighting circuit. Armored flex cable everywhere. We tore out some sketchy-looking wiring from the 50s in my tool closet, relocated some outlets, replaced any old ones. Inspector comes tomorrow.
Power where I want it! No more extension cords all over the floor and under the car! I put them up at 48" so I can see them and they're out of the clutter and wet. Shelves and lumber racks will go above. Now it needs insulation, badly!

Funny to remember - I once drove with everything I owned stuffed to the headrests in a ratty 124 Spider, bike and skis on the trunk rack, from Bozeman to Denver. 800 miles, top down, two-lanes in Wyoming! If you go fast enough, it doesn't rain IN your convertible.

Way to go!
Be careful on that slippery slope.
Alls ya need now is a soundproof closet for your air compressor, couple 50’ pneumatic hose reels, 50 amp welder outlet & you’re set.
