2013 C30 Oil Capacity Question (70K Oil change)

Changed my oil and 6 quarts went in fine but the dip stick was still showing low. I ended having to add a whole quart more to get the dipstick to go to full.

Is this a concern? Should I attempt to drain some oil out? Like do it tonight before it gets cold again in Minnesota? It was so nice today and I needed an oil change so I was glad to get it done.

I know 6.1 is the full capacity and I thought it was odd that it took 7 quarts.

I drained 6.1 quarts out (1 big container, 1 small, .5 or so of another container).

Would the extra .9 quart cause an issue? I plan on changing this oil in 5,000 miles if it isn't freezing out.

Did you give it enough time for all the oil to drain to the crankcase? On level ground?
Check the oil level in the morning before you start the engine.

Thanks! I ended up draining a little out. I hope the engine is ok. It sounds and runs fine.
