Yes it is the turbo gauge in the dash, and yes you can have your spaghetti with no meatballs. The later year 850s did not have a turbo gauge. Cap it off at the tree if you don't want to fix it. You can also get new plastic pipe it is just more of a hassle.

Haha, well I'm vegetarian so I don't need the meatballs at all ;)

Will fix that pipe somewhen later. I have so much other stuff to work on at the moment that I will focus on the more important things.

One more question. So if the pipe to the Gauge has a leak that also means that th whole vacuum system is negatively influenced by it right?

Thank you guys as always and has happy new year :)

You don't want any vacuum leaks in these cars. They will cause either codes or running problems to pop up. If your gauge is moving don't worry about it for now

I have a vacuum line that fell out from under my dash that's hard plastic snapped like
\_________/with a rubber elbow on one side. This found when trying to figure out hard starts when cold. And a pump like sound from drivers side under hood that goes on when I touch brakes then right back off. Where does this hose go and could it cause the hard cold starts

Hmmm. You don’t have vacuum on a P2 dash like a P80

That whirring pump is your brake vacuum pump, that needs to be looked over carefully as it is important for safety.
